Peter Josef Früh founded the small brewery “Cölner Hofbräu Früh” in 1904 in combination with a pub near the Cologne cathedral. Today this very traditional family enterprise which is well-known even out of its region is being managed by the fifth generation of the same family, which handed over the original recepy from 1904 unto our day, thus preserving the wonderful taste of this beer. But to keep up this quality not only experience but also mastership in brewery is essential. Quality, professionalism and sensitivity are the three main points which are kept up in the family tradition to produce a beer with a unique taste.
