The Rhein Main Region is the second biggest metropolitan area in Germany and one of eleven officially recognized "European Metropolitan Regions" in Germany. Not withstanding the fact it is a economically and industrially high developed region it offers charming rural and natural experiences in the neighbouring regions of Taunus, Rheingau, Odenwald, Wetterau and Rheinhessen. Last but not least some of the best wines of Germany a produced in the heart of this region, also the "Hock", famous in Great Britain.
