Mildenstein Castle – listed in the Guinness book of records
Lots of stories and history can be found at Mildenstein Castle near Freiberg, the mighty castle that was built nearly 1000 years ago. But that is not the reason for its place in the Guinness book of the records. That is rather the fact that the biggest top boot of the world stands in the castle’s museum, 3.70 meters high!
Towering above beautiful scenery on a 60 meter high rock, it offers a magnificent view of Freiberger country. Gastronomically, the castle is worth visiting as well: down in the castle’s cellar you can have a wine-tasting session and celebrate.
