The beer garden Konzertplatz Weißer Hirsch is located in the same named district in Dresden, on the edge of the Dresdner Heide – one of the largest urban forests in Germany. It was opened in April 2009 by star chef and entrepreneur Stefan Hermann.
The Konzertplatz Weißer Hirsch is an almost magical-looking place is that has become every visitor's favourite location. Be it because of the specially created brunch meadow, the historical Band-Shell, a picnic table next to the lovingly restored banisters, the playground with a large wooden climbing frame or the surrounding forest with tall trees and the inviting glades – the quaint atmosphere does not find its match anywhere in Dresden and is enthusiastically visited from guests from near and far.
Culturally, the Konzertplatz Weißer Hirsch has also a lot to offer: stars like Annett Louisan, Wolfgang Niedecken, Jan Josef Liefers, Axel Prahl and the Münchener Freiheit playing concerts, the Hirschenkino showing selected top movies of all genres, performances by comedy greats such as Kurt Kroemer and Olaf Schubert and events such as the After Work Chill out, family brunch, tea dance or the Puppet theatre make it clear: The Konzertplatz Weißer Hirsch is transformed into a winter wonderland each year, with an ice skating rink set up just in time to celebrate the Christmas season. The area can also be exclusively booked for weddings, corporate events and all other festivities.
