Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) was founded by the union of Karlsruhe’s research centre and the University of Karlsruhe. At KIT, university’s study and research meet the great research facility of the Helmholtz community with its program oriented provision research ordered by the state.

Research, study and innovation are focusing on person and technology. The university has six special fields of research. Studies are possible in the following faculties:

Architecture, structural engineering, earth and environmental sciences, chemical and life sciences, industrial chemistry and procedure technology, arts and social sciences, informatics, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics and economics.
