Once it was a volcano, spurting out hot lava, now it is one of Germanys natural wonders: The “Rauhe Kulm” in the Upper Palatine hillside, in Bavaria.

Since this monument of nature was given an award as the most attractive natural wonder in Germany, it developed into a tourist magnet and is being visited mostly by trekking enthusiasts in Northern Bavaria.
