After the ice age Lake Titisee originated from the glacier of Feldberg and is one of the biggest natural lakes in the Black Forest. Millions of people visit yearly the lake due to the immediate surroundings of the lake which are rich in activities. Renting a pedal boat, sailing, swimming, paddling or fishing, everything is possible. A very good hiking trail leads around the lake and takes one and a half hours. In the height air health resort are numerous hotels and inns.
