Pforzheim in the Black Forest is known as the golden town. No other German town is so closely connected in history with the jewellery and watch industry as Pforzheim is. 80 percent of Germany‘s jewellery exports are even today still produced in Pforzheim. Numerous jewellery designers and goldsmiths manufacture unique pieces of handicraft. At the goldsmith's school and college of Pforzheim young people are still trained in this glorious craft.
