Freudenstadt has not only the biggest marketplace in Germany, but also, situated on mount Kienberg, the highest trail of roses. Located at a height of between 591 and 968 metres in the northern Black Forest, Freudenstadt is in summer more than lovely with over 100 wells, a health resort house, a sculpture path, museums and a colourful cultural programme. Fans of activity holidays will be happy with mountain bikes, on foot or doing Nordic Walking. In winter time mountain Kniebis is perfect for skiing and sledging.
