Many advantages and free entrances

For those looking for fun things to do or who want to save money, the Black Forest has a unique offer which really helps to look after the pennies.

For those looking for fun things to do or who want to save money, there is the “SchwarzwaldCard”. In one of the country’s biggest holiday regions, it gives free entry to over 140 adventure pools and thermal baths, ski lifts, museums, mountain railways and other attractions. The new SchwarzwaldCard is valid from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017. Until then, it can be used at any partner, on three days of the owner’s choice.

Holiday-makers looking to discover new things can easily save 90 euros over the three days. And because many bonus partners accept the card until the end of its validity period regardless, there are even more advantages to be had: holders of the SchwarzwaldCard can benefit from discounts for a whole year.

The Europa Park version of the card is also valid for an entire day in one of Germany’s largest and most popular theme and leisure parks. A family with three young children will save 93 euros during their day at Europa Park in Rust alone. Or how about a visit to a mine or to one of the information centres on the nature and landscape history of the Black Forest?

The SchwarzwaldCard is available from many tourist information offices and partner companies. You can also order the benefits card directly from Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH, Tel. (+49)(0)761.89646-93 or online at www.blackforest-tourism.com

Holidaymakers can save even more in connection with the Konus Guest Card. Nearly 11,000 hosts give this out free to visitors in more than 140 holiday destinations in the region. The card gives them free travel on local public buses and trains (second class) throughout their stay, across the entire holiday region between Pforzheim and Waldshut, Karlsruhe and Basel.

Holders of the SchwarzwaldCard can gain free entry or enjoy other benefits at participating attractions until 31.03.2017. Small children up to 3 years old enjoy free entry everywhere. For children aged between 4 and 11, the card costs 27 euros. For 55 euros, it also includes a visit to Europa Park. For adults, the card costs 37 euros (without Europa Park), or 66 euros including a visit to the park. Families can make use of the offers for 111 euros (without Europa Park). For 229 euros, the whole family can also spend a day at Europa Park.

The family card is valid for 2 adults and 3 children aged up to 17 years. Only one card is issued and can be used by the family group as a single unit.

New: The Card can now be ordered online and printed out at home.
