Berlin / Berlin City CenterLuxury – today as in the past. This might well be the mission statement of the possibly very best hotel in Germany´s capital Berlin. Hotel Adlon Kempinski, facing the boulevard “Unter den Linden” and just a few metres far from the “Brandenburger Tor” was re-opened in the end of August 1997. Its predecessor, the original Hotel Adlon, had been opened in October 1907, to burn almost down to the ground in 1945. Kaiser Wilhelm II, the Czar of Russia, Maharajas, but also artists like Marlene Dietrich are counted amongst the guests.
